Job responsibilities of an employee: where to register and how to change
In practice, in labor relations, you can often hear the term “job responsibilities” of an employee. Let’s see what these are, how to formulate them and in what document, where and how to fix the change in the employee’s job responsibilities.
What are the job responsibilities of an employee
In fact, the Labor Code does not contain the concept of “official duties” as such. But in fact, job responsibilities are the same as the labor function of an employee.
So, job responsibilities are a list of specific types of work assigned to a person, specific actions when performing their work function, the goals that are set for the employee, and the results of his work, as well as measures to achieve the goals set for the employee.
By the way, in the Labor Code meets there is also such a term as “labor duties”. For example, Article 21 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation states that “an employee is obliged to faithfully fulfill his labor duties assigned to him by an employment contract”. And in Article 129 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation it says: “salary (official salary) is a fixed amount of remuneration for the performance of labor (official) duties …”. That is, the terms “work duties” and “job responsibilities” are generally synonymous. Although it is sometimes considered that labor duties are a broader concept that includes a set of actions of an employee that he must take to fulfill the terms of an employment contract and comply with labor legislation.
